I ANTICHI IN POLAND – APRIL 2025
– 8/4 Wroclaw: Wielka Ratusza Hall of the City Hall
– 10/4 Krakow: Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University
Compagnia de Calza “I Antichi” is on tour in Poland with the lecture-show “I Carnevali di Casanova” on the occasion of the 300th birthday of the great Venetian character. It will be an opportunity to bring the tradition of Venetian entertainment to Polish audiences with original tales from the Casanovian memoirs of History of My Life.
The initiative has been organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Krakow, led by director Matteo Ogliari, and will feature two replicas of the event, on Tuesday, April 8, in the Wielka Ratusza Hall of the Wroclaw City Hall (Wroclaw) and on Thursday, April 10, in the Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
The driving force behind the event, once again, is Sebastiano Giorgi, editor of the print and online magazine Gazzetta Italia, a Venetian transplanted to Warsaw, a journalist and writer, and an indefatigable organizer of cultural and social events that strengthen ties between Italy and Poland, with a special focus on Venice.
“I Antichi” will be represented by Prior Luca Colferai, Chamberlain Numa Echos, and Crazy Cat Burlesque.
