On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 6 p.m., at Circolo Culturale Renato Nardi, the conference-show “Donne alla Giudecca will be held on the occasion of the cultural week on the island for the city of Venice. This event is dedicated to all the women who have lived, live, and will live on Giudecca, and will feature true stories passed down by women who have lived in the social and cultural context of Giudecca.

For the occasion, Numa Echos will play Henriette Negrin, wife and then widow of the painter and set designer Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo. Henriette was a fashion designer and entrepreneur, as well as the inventor of the machine for pleating silk fabrics and founder of the Fortuny factory on Giudecca, which is still in operation today, next to the Molino Stucky.
